“You’re Terrified of Being Ordinary”
Saw this tweet today and it hit.
“You’re terrified of being ordinary. So terrified that you won’t start anything unless you can be exceptional at it immediately.”
That’s why most people don’t do anything.
They won’t write unless it’s amazing.
Won’t create unless it’s high production.
Won’t try unless success is guaranteed.
Because of that fear, they stay stuck.
Stuck between nothing and something.
I’ve done this 1000s of times.
I’ve had ideas I never started because I didn’t think they’d be good enough.
I’ve wanted to post content but didn’t because it wasn’t perfect or I didn’t like how I looked.
And all that waiting did was keep me from getting better.
All the big dogs in the game were once where you were.
Shit at what they were trying to do but they stuck through it and figured it out.
Nobody starts off the greatest.
You have to work your way to it.
You’re not special yet because you won’t be ordinary long enough to learn.
