Time Isn’t Real
People put way too much weight on time.
“He’s been doing this for 10 years.”
“She started way before me.”
“I’m late.”
That thinking alone is killing so many people progress.
Time only measures how long something has existed.
It doesn’t measure how well it’s been done.
There are people who have been “in the game” for 5, 10, even 20 years…
And they’re still average.
Still inconsistent.
Still didn’t get their business off the ground.
Then someone comes in.
1 year.
6 months.
Sometimes even less.
And surpasses them.
Because they actually just did the actions needed to be done rather than sitting there planning.
The days go by.
They do a bit here, a bit there.
They get distracted.
So yeah, after 5 years they’ve technically “been doing it for 5 years”.
But in reality?
They’ve probably done 1 year of real work… five times.
That’s why they get overtaken.
Because someone else comes in and does 5 years’ worth of focused work in 1 or 2.
Now don’t get it twisted.
This isn’t about obsessing over surpassing people.
That mindset can become just as distracting.
Because then you’re back to focusing on others again.
The real point is this:
You are not behind.
You are only behind if you move slowly, waste time, and avoid the work.
If you move with intention, you can close gaps fast.
