Take a break sometimes
I was thinking today, reminiscing on where I came from.
2020 I was depressed.
Genuinely struggling mentally. Didn’t know what I was doing with my life.
I somewhat recovered from being extremely bad to decent.
So I started a page called Free Mind Men and started helping men the best way I can.
That journey changed everything for me, it made me realise something important.
Your why doesn’t have to change even if you accomplish it.
I started helping people because I needed help myself. Because I knew what it felt like to be stuck in your own head with nobody to talk to.
I’ve made money since then. Hit a lot of my goals. Built a business.
But the why is still the same.
Help my family and help the next generation of men who are going through what I went through.
That doesn’t change just because I’m in a better place now.
Making money isn’t that important if your mental health isn’t taken care of.
I’ve had months where I made good money and felt terrible and months where I made less but felt better.
The money doesn’t fix it if your mind isn’t right.
Everyone’s chasing revenue goals thinking that’ll solve everything.
It won’t.
If you’re miserable now, you’ll just be miserable with more money.
That’s why it’s okay sometimes to take a break and let your mind rest.
Your mind comes first.
So if you’re struggling right now, take a break.
Let yourself rest.
You’re not falling behind.
You’re making sure you can actually finish the race.
