I used to sell scooters while I was in university.

I’d do deliveries all over the Midlands, shipping these scooters by hand because delivery costs were expensive and I couldn’t afford them.

So I did everything myself.

People laughed at me. They’d do that smile that tells me they don’t take me seriously.

I remember being labelled “scooter boy”. I remember the jokes about my shitty Nissan.

But I didn’t care.

Eventually, I turned it into a proper e-commerce business. And before I stopped it, I made multiple five figures from that business.

Funny how that turned out…

I got the last laugh.

So don’t be embarrassed to put yourself out there or start that business because you're afraid of what others will say
