Rage Baiting Works
Rage baiting people actually works.
Some guy online was posting content but hiding what camera he was using.
Everyone in the comments kept asking.
What camera is that?
What are you shooting on?
He ignored them.
So I responded to all the comments he ignored and told them it was a Sony Zv1.
I just made it up.
All of a sudden he replied to every single comment with the correct camera.
The one he’d been ignoring for weeks?
Suddenly urgent enough to answer.
Sometimes that’s what it takes.
People won’t engage until you force them to.
They’ll ignore genuine questions but respond immediately when someone says something wrong about them.
It’s ego.
They can’t help themselves.
You can ask nicely a hundred times and get nothing.
Say something slightly wrong once and they’ll correct you instantly.
I see this everywhere.
People gatekeeping information until someone gets it wrong, then suddenly they’re an expert ready to share.
Sometimes you have to bait people.
People can’t resist correcting you when you’re wrong.
Use it.
