I won’t be leaving the UK, but I never blame others who do.
The UK has this weird energy where success makes people uncomfortable.
Like you’re supposed to stay humble.
Stay small, don’t make too much noise.
And if you do win?
People don’t celebrate you.
They lowkey resent you.
They call you lucky.
They say you changed.
They act like your success is somehow proof that you’re arrogant now.
Deep down, they don’t actually believe it’s possible for them.
So instead of trying, they just make you feel guilty for doing it.
That’s the UK mentality.
Crabs in a bucket.
And I get why people leave.
I don’t really care for the noise.
