I spent 10+ hours on one task
I spent the entire day on one task today.
It’s 11:03pm I started this task at 1pm.
When I’m good at it it’ll probably take me 1 - 2 hours to do.
But right now? I’m not good at it.
I’ve never done this before.
So ofc It’s frustrating as hell.
The only thing in head is that If I build the muscle now, I’ll be an expert at it with consistency.
Right now it feels like I’m moving in slow motion.
But it doesn’t matter.
Because this is how everything starts.
The first time you do anything, it’s not going to be your best.
The first email you send.
The first piece of content you create.
The first sales call you make.
It’s all awkward and takes way longer than it should.
But you do it anyway.
Because the person who’s an expert at it now?
They were once exactly where you are.
Struggling through day one, Feeling like an idiot.
Wondering if it’ll ever get easier.
And it will.
With consistency, it compounds.
That’s how you build skills. That’s how you get good at anything.
Not by being perfect from the start, but by willing to suck for a while.
Don’t judge yourself for how long it takes today.
Judge yourself on whether you showed up and did it anyway.
Keep going.
